How we look out for each other.
How we treat each other on the marketplace — and what happens when those expectations aren't met.

In short: Be honest, be respectful, and leave things better than you found them. These guidelines exist so everyone knows what to expect.
Treat People Well
Every member deserves to feel welcome, whether they're attending their first event or hosting their fiftieth.
- No harassment, discrimination, or intimidation. This includes unwelcome advances, slurs, threats, and deliberate exclusion based on race, gender, orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic.
- Respect boundaries. If someone says no—to a drink, a conversation, a photo—that's the end of it.
- Handle disagreements like adults. If you have a problem with another member, talk it out or contact us. Don't escalate publicly or at an event.
- Respect the space. If someone opens their home or space, treat it the way you'd want yours treated. Clean up after yourself. Follow house rules.
Event Standards
Whether you're hosting, contributing, or attending—these apply to everyone involved in an event.
- Hosts are responsible for their events. That means accurate descriptions, clear pricing, proper insurance, and compliance with local laws (permits, noise ordinances, occupancy limits, alcohol regulations).
- Contributors deliver what they promise. If you commit to play a set, cook a meal, or provide a space—show up prepared, on time, and ready to deliver what was agreed.
- Attendees participate in good faith. Show up when you RSVP. Follow event rules. Don't bring uninvited guests without checking first.
- Cancellations happen—communicate early. If you can't make it (as host, contributor, or attendee), let people know as soon as possible. Repeated no-shows affect your reputation and may limit your access.
Be Honest
Trust is the foundation of this community. We take accuracy seriously.
- Your profile should be real. Use your actual name, accurate photos, and truthful descriptions of your skills and experience.
- Event listings should be accurate. Don't misrepresent what an event includes, the space, or who's involved.
- Reviews should reflect your real experience. Don't leave fake reviews—positive or negative. Don't ask others to leave fake reviews for you.
- Don't game the system. Fake referrals, manipulated reputation scores, or exploiting marketplace features undermines everyone.
Keep It Safe
We take safety seriously. So should you.
- Follow the law. Alcohol service requires proper licensing. Food preparation must meet local health standards. Fire codes and occupancy limits exist for a reason.
- Don't endanger others. Serving alcohol to minors, ignoring food allergies you've been told about, or creating unsafe physical conditions will result in immediate removal.
- Report problems. If you see something unsafe or concerning at an event, tell the host immediately. If it's serious, contact us directly.
What Happens When Guidelines Are Broken
We handle violations based on severity and pattern. Most issues start with a conversation.
- First time, minor issue: We'll reach out, explain the concern, and ask you to correct it.
- Repeated issues or serious violations: Temporary suspension from hosting, contributing, or attending events.
- Severe violations: Immediate and permanent removal from the marketplace. This includes any form of assault, illegal activity, or deliberate endangerment.
- Financial violations: Fraudulent transactions, chargebacks filed in bad faith, or deliberate misuse of the payment system will result in removal and may be reported to authorities.
We don't have a strike system or a point threshold. We use judgment. If you're acting in good faith and make a mistake, we'll work with you. If you're not, we won't.
How to Report a Problem
If you experience or witness a violation, contact us with as much detail as you can. We review every report and respond within 48 hours. Reports can be made anonymously.
