Local events, by your community.
XLNT Events is a marketplace for local, smaller-scale events in traditional and non-traditional spaces, created by you and other members for your community.
To make the events your neighborhood already wants findable.
The best local events (the backyard concert, the chef dinner upstairs, the rooftop tasting) already happen. They just don't show up where most people look. XLNT Events is the marketplace where they can.
We are not a ticketing platform with a community blog attached. We are a marketplace whose product, business model, and voice are all shaped by the same idea: that small, local gatherings deserve infrastructure built for them, not for stadiums or apps that scale to millions.
What we'll commit to in writing.
The following aren't taglines. They're the constraints that shape every product decision we make.
Members, not users.
Every person on the marketplace is a neighbor. Three core member types (Individual, Professional, Business), one shared register: warm, inclusive, direct, respectful of expertise.
Sustainable, not venture-scale.
Attendees pay a 4% service fee on ticketed events. When contributors are paid, they keep 92% of what they earn — the 8% supplier fee funds platform operations. No advertising. No data sales. Local sponsors (credit unions, community foundations, chambers of commerce) can underwrite events, keeping tickets affordable and helping new contributors build a portfolio. Built in public with founding members at the table.
Local and smaller-scale.
Smaller-scale means up to around three hundred guests. Most events fall between twelve and thirty for non-commercial gatherings, fifty to eighty for commercial. Backyard scale, not arena scale.
